    If you want to see surprise and glee from someone celebrating an
    “occasion“ buy some sparklers…hearts, stars, numbers. I use a fire starter to light the sparkler. Matches don’t last long enough. I do enjoy having these on hand. Or send one in a birthday card.

    They have great gifts for a bonus birthday bonanza, with the birthday in a box, and the birthday cone, and the butterflies, and numbered sparkler wands and surprise balls, etc.

    Christmas Surprise Balls - Oh what a treat!

    These balls take a while for children to unwind. I took them to dinner in a restaurant and the 12, 10, and 9 year old were mindful of not taking the balls apart with great abandon. They read every slip of paper they unwrapped, and occasionally found a word that was a slight challenge. The unwrapping created a lively conversation for the table. The other guests became amused. For dessert we lit sparklers, a big Star and Heart. to sounds of awe in the room. It was a magical Christmas Eve evening to say the least!
